Advantages of one-component waterborne wood paint:

With the advancement of water-based wood paint technology, the performance of single-component water-based paint is getting better and better. For example, the paint film is flexible, high in transparency, fast drying, good adhesion, fine and soft and beautiful. At the same time, the paint film's fullness, water and chemical resistance, hardness and scratch resistance are also significantly improved, which can fully satisfy the cabinet. Furniture coating requirements for facade systems such as, wall panels, bookshelves, showcases, beds and so on.

At present, the application of single-component waterborne wood paint is very mature in pine children's furniture and outdoor paint, which has occupied more than half of the market share.High ductility and toughness;durable weather resistance and other characteristics of these oil paint, can protect wood doors and windows for a longer time to deal with the test of both indoor and outdoor environment, and its coating process and effect are gradually in line with the needs of wood doors and windows, now solid wood windows and aluminum wood windows waterbased coating also ushered in a period of rapid development.

Shortcomings of one-component water-based wood paint:

Water-based paint uses water as a diluent, which will change the moisture content of the wood during use. Changes in the moisture content of the wood will cause the wood to swell, bend and deform, thus increasing the difficulty of construction of the water-based paint. In addition, water-based paint is suitable for thinner, open effect and semi-closed effect, so it needs to be more refined when processing and polishing, which requires furniture companies to have a higher level of production technology.

Since the one-component water-based paint relies on the natural volatilization of water to form a film, there are certain requirements for construction temperature and humidity, and the actual drying speed of the paint film is slow, the degree of crosslinking is not high, the formed paint film is not dense enough, and the final film is formed, the quality of the one-component water-based paint is not guaranteed, so the film hardness and scratch resistance of the one-component water-based paint are not high, and the sealing effect is not strong. Therefore, single-component water-based paint is not suitable for painting furniture that requires high hardness, such as flat system painting such as tables and floors, and it is difficult to seal the oil floating on pine wood with a lot of oil.

The two-component water-based wood paint has better overall performance than the common one-component water-based wood paint. This is because the curing agent is added to the one-component water-based paint to assist in film formation, so that the film-forming polymer occurs chemical reaction, forming a network structure, and finally forming a paint film, instead of relying on the natural volatilization of water to form a physical film, which greatly improves the performance of the paint film.
